Thank you to all who volunteered and all who supported it. The bands were all amazing! Their links will be posted in the Music section of this website - Musician's for Hire.

Static Entertainment & Publishing with the support of MLA, Doug Routley had its first Nanaimo area brainstorming session on March 30th

We asked youth to really give some thought to what they would like to contribute to Nanaimo. How can you impact this city? What kind of legacy would you like to leave? Is there something that you can do as a group to help this community, therefore, changing the dynamic between the generational gap? These are some questions to think about before the next meeting. There is a misconception or stereotype associated with youth that needs to be modified!!

We look forward to your ideas for change whether it be cleaning up this city, planning concerts, festivals, summer water fights, building cases to make changes for youth detox in Nanaimo, more youth housing, pregnant & youth parents housing, in-patient treatment facilities for youth suffering from mental health issues such as depression...the list goes on.

Let's see what we can do to brainstorm some ideas, then implement what we can. You are the future that is starting now. Your background or social class is not important in this group. You're input for changing the future is valuable.

Static Entertainment & Publishing along with MLA, Doug Routley are calling all youth of Nanaimo to a challenge!

We want "You[th]" to be seen & heard! Come join us in brainstorming some ideas of what you want to see changed in Nanaimo. Do you want more recreational access? More job access? We want your ideas and perspectives on making the city of Nanaimo a chill place to live. We value your views and want to support you in your ideas for change.

No matter what your background or who you are, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in changing your city!

Action For Children

Well, I've recently joined a planning committee to raise awareness to child/youth mistreatment. There are several organizations involved in "Action For Children". There will be one week of concert/education series, island wide in November! The grande finale is on November 20th in Victoria, BC. We are looking at some BIG names, such as Shania Twain, Dianna Krall, Randy Bachman, Valdi and more.

What BIG names could we look at contacting geared to youth? Get involved and leave a legacy in your community! Let's plan some wicked concerts that are going to bring crowds in support of children/youth rights.

Maybe you're an artist who would like to perform? Perhaps you’re an educator? Volunteers are incredibly valuable and important in making an event like this come together. Make a difference in your community. Call me to get in on this amazing opportunity 250-713-5125 or email: monalisa@seap.cc

Come on out on Tuesday, April 13th 6:30-8pm FREE PIZZA! 165 Fraser St. (beside Mrs.Riches restaurant) in downtown Nanaimo.
